Dajin Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. has signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Zhengli Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. for offshore wind installation vessels development for the European market.
The two parties will jointly study the feasibility of retrofitting of Zhengli Offshore’s existing 3,500-tonne lifting capacity WTIV to adapt it to European offshore wind installation operations, with long-term cooperation planned for WTIV R&D and joint market expansion.
This partnership will accelerate Dajin’s strategic expansion into offshore wind installation supporting European offshore wind targets. It will enable Dajin to provide European offshore wind industry with one-stop "manufacturing + transportation + marshaling + installation" solutions, marking a next step in its transformation from an equipment manufacturer to a full EPCI provider.
Dajin's commitment to offshore wind industry is the core of its globalization strategy. "With this strategic move, Dajin will contribute to solving another supply bottleneck in European offshore wind for installation vessels limited both by number as well as capabilities driven by projects under development and next generation turbines and foundations requirements,” says Mr. Xin Jin, Dajin's Chairman and Owner. Going forward, Dajin will continue to integrate industrial value chain resources, upgrade services, and deliver high-quality integrated offshore wind solutions to support global offshore wind industry development.
