We are proud to announce that KING ONE, Dajin's first 40,000 DWT deck carrier, has successfully arrived at Steel River Quay, Tees Port after an impressive journey of nearly 12000 nautical miles from Penglai Port, China.
This maiden voyage marks a significant step forward in offshore wind logistics. KING ONE delivered 8 XXL monopiles (10m diameter, over 1,200 tonnes each) for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm -which on completion will be one of the largest in the world. The safe and timely arrival demonstrates Dajin's growing capabilities in independent shipbuilding and professional heavy transport services.
Designed and built entirely in-house by Dajin, KING ONE measures 240m in length, 51m in breadth, and 13m in depth, with a deck area of 12,000 sqm. Its flexible design makes it ideally suited for transporting offshore wind components, including monopiles, Jacket, floating foundations, and large offshore engineering modules.
The successful completion of KING ONE's first voyage is not only a landmark achievement for Dajin's entry into the shipbuilding sector - it also lays a solid foundation for our strategic transformation into a global provider of integrated offshore wind solutions.
A huge and heartfelt thank you both to our own and Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 team and to every single person involved.
