On May 8, 2025, Penglai Dajin Offshore Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. officially received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), becoming the first company in the global offshore wind foundation sector to have its near-term and net-zero emissions reduction targets validated by the SBTi.
This major milestone marks Dajin’s unwavering commitment to global climate action and its leadership in driving the energy transition through science-based, credible, and measurable decarbonization efforts.
The SBTi is one of the world’s most recognized and rigorous frameworks for corporate climate targets. Dajin’s approved targets align with the 1.5°C trajectory outlined in the Paris Agreement, reflecting both scientific credibility and actionable ambition.
As an early mover, Dajin publicly committed to the SBTi in 2024—well ahead of most industry peers. Since then, we have taken concrete steps across multiple dimensions including greenhouse gas accounting, low-carbon emission roadmaps, sustainable procurement, energy optimization, and green steel adoption. The SBTi validation is a testament to the systematic efforts and strategic focus we’ve placed on long-term sustainability.
Dajin will continue to collaborate closely with global partners, clients, and suppliers to accelerate the shift toward a net-zero future, and to provide sustainable, low-carbon emission solutions for the global offshore wind industry.
