Monopiles, composed of steel pipes, are the most widely utilized foundations for

offshore wind turbines. Anchored by pile legs driven into the seabed, these structures

provide secure stability. The upper part of the monopile is connected to the

wind turbine tower through flanges and bolts, making it particularly suitable for

nearshore and shallow water areas.

The transition piece (TP) is a tubular structure made out of high-grade

offshore steel. The TP is the second part of a wind turbine generator

(WTG), which is directly connected to the monopile foundation and the

WTG tower. The most common connection of a TP is with flanges or a

grouted connection.

The wind tower plays a supporting role in the wind turbine and absorbs the

A jacket is an infrastructure used for offshore oil exploration and

development operations. It is a Space frame composed of hollow legs

(conduits) and vertical and horizontal bars connecting the legs.

In recent years we have seen the development of a new foundation concept

being the TP-less solutions in which the WTG tower is connected directly to

the monopile. This product maxmum weight 5000-8000 tons. With high

transportation requirements, Dajin Heavy Industry is exploring the process

to manufacture fleating foundations, and is equipped with a

professional international transportation fleet.
